Papa Chan was born in Taipei and raised in Sanyuan Street. Back in 20 years ago, he set up Lantern Lomei (Lantern Soy Sauce Braised Food) in Shida Night Market in Taipei.
The flagship Lantern Lomei in Taipei is found in the most prominent location in the renowned Shida Night Market and soon became a very popular spot for students and teachers around. Dating back to its initial opening, Papa Chan simply put up two lanterns for illumination. Since then, diners and supporters simply called it “Lantern Lomei”. Apart from savouring your taste buds, Lantern Lomei also fosters the spirit of inheritance and human connections.
Lantern Lomei employs the secret recipe of braised sauce from the taiwan flagship, which includes Cassia, Sichuan Peppercorn, Licorice and a wide variety of Chinese herbs, which has been simmered for hours. The complex taste of braised sauce has been very popular for years among the Taiwanese locals.
